Floods Working Group Meetings in January

EOTEC DevNet’s four Regional Flood Working Groups will kick off 2024 with quarterly meetings on January 17 and 18. These meetings will showcase regional presentations that cover a wide range of themes. We are excited to introduce a new tool developed by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) aimed at transforming meteorological and hydrological services in Africa. Additionally, we will share valuable lessons learned from utilizing Earth Observation data during the recent flooding events in Pakistan. Another highlight will be the focus on on-demand forecasting services for water management, featuring innovations like the OPENCoastS platform and the WIFF framework, as implemented in Portugal. Our discussions will also revolve around setting priorities for 2024. Come prepared to share a bit of information on what you will be doing in the coming year. It will be great to learn from each other!
