New Resource: Places to Find Training
With so many Earth observation (EO) training resources available, it can be difficult to know where to start. EOTEC’s new Places to Find Training tool brings together courses, MOOCs, webinars, and learning platforms in one searchable webpage, making it easier for potential training participants to discover what’s out there. Part of EOTEC’s ongoing mission to expand the reach of EO capacity building, this resource will continue to grow. Explore the page, share your feedback, and let us know if there are training providers or platforms we should add. Share input at secretariat@eotecdev.net.
EO Training in 2026: Insights from 4 Regions, 15 Providers
More than 110 practitioners and 15+ training providers came together in March to share plans for EO capacity building in 2026. These discussions at EOTEC’s four regional community of practice meet-ups highlighted a rapidly expanding training ecosystem – as well as clear needs for coordination, improved discoverability, and more applied, decision-focused training, especially in areas like AI, disaster response, and water monitoring.

Regional Drought Meet-ups: April 22–23
EOTEC DevNet’s upcoming regional drought meet-ups will bring together experts, training providers, and practitioners to exchange how Earth observations are supporting drought monitoring, preparedness, and response. These sessions offer a chance to connect across regions, share capacity needs, and help shape future training priorities – including feedback on the new “Places to Find Training” resource.
