Training Workshop on Asian Aviation Hazardous Weather Coordination

The course will focus on the operation methods of Asian Aviation Hazardous Weather Advisory (HWA) System, which is to provide hazardous weather advisory information to support neighboring Meteorological Watch Offices (MWOs) to issue SIGMET and to fill the gap of end users’ need for seamless en-route hazardous weather information for airspace where SIGMET is not regularly issued. There will be lectures focused on hazardous weather forecasting and nowcasting technology, application of the hazardous weather advisories, application of satellite and radar data, aviation weather services, impacts of climate change on aviation operations, etc., and hands-on session on hazardous weather coordination. Apart from that, we would like to invite you to deliver a short lecture in the training workshop to share your local SIGMET practices, procedures and experience for the benefit of the participants of the training workshop.
