Evelyn is the Head of Forecasting in Met Éireann, Ireland and the chair of the EUMETNET Storm Naming group from WGCEF, the Working Group for Co-operation among European Forecasters.
In this presentation Evelyn will take us around all the NMS’s in Europe describing the operational storm naming groups and the planned new groups. She will start with the raison d’etre for storm naming and give some examples of storm naming from recent years.
