Satellite Products and Applications in Satellite Meteorology

The main objective of this course is to train participants on the handling of data and products derived from the Meteorological Geostationary satellites covering Central America, as well as from polar orbiting satellites, namely those operated by EUMETSAT. Participants will learn about where and how to obtain the data and how to process it. Several case studies will be covered, and daily weather briefings will be held by the course participants from the different National Meteorological Services in Central America, focusing on the different geographic regions.
