The Joint Training School and Workshop is jointly organized by EUMETSAT, the WMO SDS-WAS Regional Center (which is managed by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, BSC, and the Spanish Meteorological State Agency, AEMET) and ACTRIS with the support of the Copernicus programme.
Attendance is limited to a selected number of participants
Prerequisites
– Basic knowledge in atmospheric sciences.
– Basic knowledge in programming would be advantageous.
– Basic understanding in structure and formats of geospatial data / Earth Observation data.
Before the school, we will send participants preparatory material on Python and how to access data. We will have an optional clinic session to go over their questions.
During the school, we will have lectures from scientific experts and hands-on problem-based practicals.
All activities in this training event will be in English.
