The course provides an in depth explanation of methods and techniques used to extract information from environmental satellite data, with emphasis on the latest measuring technologies and newest channels.
The course consists of lectures and practical sessions. Three different analysis and visualization tools are introduced: McIDAS V – installed locally; and Jupyter Notebooks and SIFT, run in EUMETSAT virtual environment.
