This series is designed to familiarise participants with EUMETSAT data access services, focusing on interacting with Data Store and Data Tailor APIs through the EUMDAC Python library and Command Line Interface.
In Session 5, we will give an overview of currently available marine collections, including reprocessings, and provide a series of hands-on demonstrations of how to use EUMDAC to support a variety of practical marine workflows. Demonstrations will show how to;
· configure automated downloads,
· search for, and download, products to match in situ sets, including cruise tracks,
· extract products across collections (reprocessed and operational),
· streamline data access and extractions (e.g., by cycle, by flag criteria).
Session 5 does not require attendance at previous sessions as a prerequisite, but we will refer to the these to reinforce understanding and facilitate seamless integration of concepts. Some familiarity with code will be required to get the most out of this event, but many examples will be presented using fully described Jupyter Notebooks that will be shared for use post event.
This session represents a collaboration between the EUMETSAT Data Access Services and marine training teams, and experts from both teams will be available to answer your questions.
