The Education Session at the 12th Annual Meeting of European Meteorological Society (EMS) is to be held in Lodz, Poland, on 10 – 14 September 2012 together with the 9th European Conference of Applied Climatology.
Deadline for abstract submission is on 26 April 2011.
In the CE4 Session on Education, which is a part of Communication and Education Section, presentations of use of new technologies and on advances in atmospheric science education, e.g. on computer aided learning, web based courses or other resources presenting contemporary problems and tasks of atmospheric sciences are solicited. Contributions on the role of these methodologies in professional training at national Meteorological Services are also welcome as well as the presentations of educational aspects of EC and national projects.
Best practices and advances in education of atmospheric sciences as well as the role of meteorology in the education process will be discussed as well. Contributions dealing with appearance of meteorology, climatology and hydrology in national curricula on all levels of education throughout Europe and overseas are welcome. In particular we encourage contributions presenting the organisation of education in meteorology and climatology in different countries, the role and methods of school and off-school activities and programs in atmospheric sciences outreach and education at lower levels.
