The Information Communication and Instrumentation Training Centre (ICITC), RTC New Delhi, is organizing a five working days online refresher training programme for departmental / extra-departmental personnel working as Scientists / Meteorological Technicians / Operators. The programme aims to enhance participants’ knowledge and practical understanding of modern computer networking and cyber security practices relevant to meteorological data systems and operational environments.
The programme will cover key topics in Networking, including Introduction to Computer Networks, Network Topologies and Protocols, IP Addressing and Subnetting, Network Devices and Configuration, LAN/WAN Concepts, and Basic Network Troubleshooting. and The Cyber Security will include Introduction to Cyber Security, Common Cyber Threats and Vulnerabilities, Network Security Fundamentals, Secure Communication Practices, Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems, Data Protection and Encryption Basics, Cyber Hygiene and Best Practices, and Demonstration of Security Tools and Techniques for protecting networked systems and meteorological data infrastructure.
