The aim of the seminar is to provide participants, in particular aeronautical meteorological forecasters from Regional Associations I (Africa), II (Asia) and VI (Europe), with training, guidance and practical examples of several key aspects of meteorology and forecasting for aviation. The seminar will focus on the topics of aviation hazards and Significant Meteorological Information (SIGMETs).
Presentations will be delivered by experienced Operational Meteorology (OpMet) Learning Consultants using science-backed content aligned with current learning best practices. Participants will be encouraged to share feedback on the ideas discussed throughout the seminar and will be asked to actively participate in practical sessions designed to reinforce understanding and application.
