This course is intended for Nordic operational meteorologists and will be organized by the Icelandic Meteorological Office in collaboration with the Nordic meteorological institutes and with support from EUMETSAT.
The objective of the course is to develop and deliver a training program that brings the new developments in meteorology and forecasting tools to the forecasters and to promote networking amongst forecasters and experts from the participating countries. The core topics at the course are Satellite Image Interpretation, Radar Image Interpretation and Numerical Weather Prediction, together with aspects on communicating the weather information.
