NOMEK 2012

The NOMEK course is a course intended for operational forecasters, and the course has been developed jointly by the Nordic meteorological services.
The course is aimed at operational forecasters involved in the daily forecasting work in the weather office.
Some of the subjects in this year?s NOMEK course will be: use and application of satellite products; use of radar products; numerical Weather Prediction; short Range Forecasting – EPS; decision making.
The course will consist of lessons and practical sessions (real-time weather room exercises, demonstrations and case studies) and will be hosted at DMI.
