This training event is organized by EUMETSAT and the Centre of Excellence on Training on Satellite Meteorology, Oman, administrated by the Omani Public Authority for Civil Aviation Authority (PACA) and the Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Center, Sultan Qaboos University.
The objective of the training is to enhance the skills of meteorologists on applications and products of satellite data, and to update their knowledge of new developments of the EUMETSAT satellite programmes. Latest developments on satellite interpretation techniques, including case studies, and technical information will be provided to the participants. This course is particularly aimed at operational weather forecasters.
